Job Description:
• Design, Develop, and update of software for continuous variable transmission (CVT) machines, over multiple machine system applications throughout the product development cycle, differentiating Electric drive and IC engines.
• Developing the Powertrain Controls module - Using C/Matlab Simulink, Integrating common electric drive features that can be leveraged across all applications and various machines including Hybrid, Battery, IC engines.
• Design implement and execute automated simulation cases, analyze results, report, and track defects, verify fixes, validate performance and follow-up the results to resolve issues using Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Develop and test battery management systems for various applications, including estimation of SOC and SOH.
• Analyze and model powertrain components, including motors, batteries, and power electronics.
• Cross functional collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate battery management systems into larger systems.
• Translate powertrain and vehicle cycle plan requirements into control system designs to achieve program targets. Develop and implement HV battery controls for battery monitoring modules using Matlab/Simulink and C programming.
• Ensuring that the integration complies with company standards and industry regulations.
• Document software requirements and create test plans to coordinate with HIL, DSpace teams to optimize system integration.
• Use of Matlab Simulink, Python, SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCad, ANSYS, Simscale, GIT & Vector tools.
• Travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. may be required to work at end-client locations, at least once or twice a year based on client’s needs. Must be willing to relocate and work anywhere in the U.S.
Job Requirements:
Education: Must possess a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience: 12 months experience in the position offered or a related position.
Special skills:
Aforementioned 12 months of experience must include the following:
Matlab Simulink, Python, SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCad, ANSYS, Simscale, GIT & Vector tools.
