Job Title: Furniture Assembler
Job Location: 13221 76 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3W 2V9
Job Duties:
• Prepare, sand and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts using hand and power tools.
• Assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete
articles using hand and power tools.
• Blows dust from mortises and areas to be glued, using airhose.
• Knocks connecting parts together with mallet or compresses assembled parts in clamp until
the glue has dried.
• Wipes excess glue from joints with a rag.
• Drills holes and drives screws into parts to join parts or to reinforce glued joints, using a power
drill and screwdriver.
• Verifies accuracy of the assembled article for conformance to specified standards, using square
and tape measure.
• Drill holes and attach hardware, such as hinges or clasps on furniture and fixtures.
