Objective:
Continued presence in the municipal/industrial bid and specification market as a Regional Sales Manager or a local Sales Representative, with emphasis on pumping equipment, process equipment and marketing.

19962006 Fairbanks Morse Pump Co. Kansas City, KS

Fairbanks manufactures centrifugal pumps for the municipal and industrial marketplaces, with a main focus on water transfer.

Regional Sales Manager:
Responsibilities included management of sales in the municipal and industrial markets for nine Midwestern/Great Lakes states and the six eastern provinces in Canada. 18 reps/distributors were in place to cover the territory, some of which had both municipal and industrial market responsibility. My duties required hiring of quality organizations to represent our products with direct involvement in sales calls on end users, contractors and engineers. The major emphasis was sales calls on engineers. Quite often, I was needed to help resolve field service issues. Additional responsibilities included trade show attendance, distributor training and marketing of new products.
Increased sales from $2.7 million to $12 million.
Increased sales in three territories by getting directly involved with distributor business development, including feedback on new hires and organization re-structuring. These three territories combined for a total increase of $4 million over the last four years.
Sold largest order ever received for all 316 stainless steel hsc pumps of $3 million. The territory also booked an increasing amount of high margin orders and highly engineered projects addressing specific customer needs or live order development.
Familiar with and capable of determining basic field service issues using on-site analytical equipment generating a full vibration spectrum.
Developed training seminars for products, hydraulics and specific customer requirements.

19901995 Ingersoll Dresser Pump Co. Taneytown, MD
IDP, now owned by Flowserve, manufactures centrifugal pumps for the municipal, industrial, chemical and power industries.

Regional Sales Manager:
My responsibilities included the hiring of ten organizations to represent our product in twelve Midwestern states for the municipal marketplace. I had direct involvement in sales calls on end users, contractors and engineers. Was sometimes involved in start-ups and in the resolution of field service problems. Additional responsibilities included trade shows and distributor and customer product training.
Increased regional sales from $1.9 million to $3 million.
Helped streamline the vertical turbine order entry process
