Job Description:
Zoetis, Inc. Defines, articulates, and executes Data Platform Architecture vision and roadmaps. Defines, develops, and owns “Platform Architecture/Design” (Applications and Infrastructure technologies) utilizing Azure cloud environment including Databricks, enterprise standards, and best practices. Establishes and drives alignment for platform architecture and strategy across Data teams. Formalizes and conducts solution architecture and design reviews for Data Capability Groups (DCG) projects and other Data Analytics partners. Stays up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Data Analytics and general cloud computing, including Microsoft Azure & Databricks. Participates and evaluates data management tools / platforms across vendors and come up with selection criteria in recommending right platform. Collaborates with ZTD Infrastructure and Information Security members to ensure that data solutions meet security and compliance requirements and to evolve technology architecture across the enterprise. Engages and collaborates with technology partners/industry forums to stay abreast of technology trends externally, applying them to Zoetis as per business needs. Drives adoption of Platform reference architecture and best practices across DDA team. Applies Agile and DevOps practices and ensure platform requirements are met per design and architecture. Assists in data catalog initiatives to capture business and technical meta data. Collaborates with DCG team to evolve platform architecture. Enables and industrializes new patterns for data engineering and maintains comprehensive documentation for data solutions. Optimizes performance and costs by continuously monitoring platform utilization, scalability, and cost efficiency. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related and 5 years of experience required. Telecommuting permitted.
