Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and pediatric units. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Duties
Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
Provide basic life support when necessary and respond promptly to patient needs.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Support nursing staff with patient care tasks and assist with medical procedures as directed.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
Document patient information accurately in medical records.
Skills
Experience working with children or in pediatric settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is essential for effective communication and care delivery.
Familiarity with inpatient care practices and long-term care environments is beneficial.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent infections during patient interactions.
Ability to provide compassionate patient care while building rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
