Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our one the clients healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities and inpatient care. This role requires a strong understanding of patient needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Conduct physical examinations and monitor patient health status.
Assist in laboratory procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
Provide catheter care and assist with sterile processing of medical instruments.
Support patients with daily living activities, particularly in geriatric care settings.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Perform sonography as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.
Educate patients and their families about health management and wellness strategies.
Requirements
Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
Experience in assisted living or inpatient settings is preferred.
Proficiency in laboratory procedures and sterile processing techniques.
Strong knowledge of geriatric care principles.
Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient conditions effectively.
Familiarity with catheter care protocols.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members.
Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to changing healthcare environments.
Bi weekly roasting schedule, every other weekend. If agency calls off on a Friday Saturday or Sunday they will make up the hours on the following weekend Per facility policy
