Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our of the client's healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and community care environments. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support patients with developmental disabilities. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and have experience working with diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
Provide care to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in both home and community settings.
Support patients in assisted living environments by ensuring their comfort and safety.
Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas to promote a safe environment.
Assist in phlebotomy procedures as needed under the supervision of nursing staff.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to critical care and trauma response.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with working in a Level I Trauma Center or critical care environment is a plus.
Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Strong understanding of basic medical terminology and procedures related to patient care.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
Compassionate attitude towards patients and their families, demonstrating empathy at all times.
Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited nursing assistant program is required.
