Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and be skilled in various nursing practices. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, providing essential care to patients in a fast-paced environment, including a Level I Trauma Center. Your role will involve critical care responsibilities and ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations while delivering high-quality nursing services.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and catheter care.
Assist with tube feeding and support patients with family planning needs.
Conduct assessments and monitor patients’ vital signs and overall health status.
Participate in critical care procedures as needed, including spinal taps.
Offer support and care for patients with dementia, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Lift and transport patients safely as required, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
Qualifications
Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or critical care setting is preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Proficiency in tube feeding techniques and catheter care practices.
Familiarity with family planning methods is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
