Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) / Caregiver to provide full-time home care support for an elderly family member in a private household.
This role is essential in helping maintain the comfort, dignity, and safety of our loved one. The successful applicant will be responsible for personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.
Job Requirements:
Job Requirements / Skills:
• Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate, caregiver training, or equivalent experience
• At least 1 year of full-time caregiving experience (paid or unpaid)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not mandatory)
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, supporting mobility, and assisting with transfers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, empathy, and a respectful attitude toward seniors
• Able to work independently and follow instructions carefully
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Willing to work in a private household setting
