Job Description:
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing employee pay, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion in handling sensitive financial and personal information.
Payroll Processing: Accurately calculate and process employee wages, bonuses, deductions, and other compensation in a timely manner.
Timekeeping: Verify and reconcile timesheets, attendance records, and employee work hours to ensure accurate payroll calculations.
Tax Compliance: Ensure payroll taxes, garnishments, and other deductions are correctly calculated and remitted to the appropriate agencies.
Record Maintenance: Maintain and update payroll and employee records, including tax forms, direct deposit details, and benefits-related information.
Reporting: Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and audit purposes, including summaries of payroll costs and discrepancies.
Management : Address and resolve employee inquiries or concerns related to payroll, pay discrepancies, or deductions.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance and implement necessary changes
