Job Description:
Home child care provider
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide care and supervision to the client
Take responsibility of the household in the parents absence
Prepare clients meals as requested and agreed by the parents
Instruct client in personal hygiene
Take the client to and from school and to appointments
Provide a caring, safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
Tend to emotional well-being of client and support social development
Provide age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
Assist with household errands and shopping for grocery and household supplies
Requirements:
1 to 7 months of experience
Completion of secondary school
Must be reliable and able to care for children with kindness and patience
Demonstrate good judgement and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Be available to work early morning, morning, day and evening
Work conditions:
Physically demanding; weight handling up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
