Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Web Developer to join our dynamic team in the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function, according to our clients' specifications. The role includes maintaining and improving warehouse management system websites, ensuring they are efficient and user-friendly.
Responsibilities:
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices. Create website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices. Integrate data from various back-end services and databases. Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs. Create and maintain software documentation. Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site. Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities. Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent. Maintain and improve the warehouse management system websites to ensure optimal functionality and user experience. Collaborate with warehouse staff to understand and address their needs through the web systems.
Job Requirements: Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven working experience in web programming. Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS. Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, or Java, C++. Experience in maintaining and improving web applications in the logistics or warehouse management sector is preferred. Skills and Qualifications:
Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and web application development. Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools. Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process. Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen. Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques. Excellent problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Ability to understand and address the needs of warehouse staff through web systems. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Experience with responsive and adaptive design. Understanding of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications. Prior experience in logistics or warehouse management systems is a significant asset.
