Work location(s): Candidates are required to work in Surrey, BC, and various other locations in the Lower Mainland (BC) area as per the companys work contracts with its clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or welding process specifications.
Take measurements and plan welding layout and procedures.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various welding processes.
Weld metal components together for gates, railings, and fences (such as chain link, metal, and aluminum fences) using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws
Job Requirements:
Completion of secondary school.
Completion of an apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the trade.
Ability to communicate in English.
