Job responsibilities: • Undertake research and apply mathematical models to determine transportation costs accurately, considering factors such as package size, weight, distance, and delivery speed. • Utilize statistical methodologies to achieve optimal delivery cost efficiency, including analyzing historical data to forecast future trends and demand patterns. • Support management decisions through insightful statistical analysis, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures and operational improvements. • Design delivery routes and streamline transportation processes using mathematical techniques, minimizing fuel consumption, vehicle wear and tear, and delivery times. • Analyze and troubleshoot transportation issues as they arise, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions and ensure smooth delivery operations. • Conduct regular performance evaluations of delivery routes and transportation processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency enhancement.
Job Requirements: • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field. • At least two years of experience in a similar role. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. • Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as SPSS, Google Data Studio, JMP, or SAS.
