Salary: $26.00 per hour–The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Other benefits: Optional Group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eye care coverage on a cost sharing basis would be offered upon completion of three months of employment period with the organization
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 32-40 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
• Weld various components of pool covers, including the liner material using plastic welding techniques to create strong and watertight seams in the liners, ensuring durability.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications provided by the designers to understand the dimensions, materials, and welding requirements for each pool cover design.
• Prepare the materials needed for welding, including cutting liners to the required size and shape.
• Operate various types of welding equipment, such as hot air welders, hot wedge welders & extrusion welders according to the job requirement.
• Perform quality checks throughout the welding process to ensure that the seams are strong, uniform, and free from defects.
• Assembling other components of pool covers, such as attaching reinforcements or adding features like grommets & fasteners.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.

Job Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary school is required.
• Proficiency in plastic welding techniques, such as hot air welding, hot wedge welding, or extrusion welding.
• 3-4 months prior experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of different types of thermoplastic materials and their welding characteristics.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Weight handling of up to 50lbs
