We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Assistants to join our team and to support our educators to create a unique curriculum tailored to the children in the program.

Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Start Date: As soon as possible
Number of positions: 2
Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $28.85 per hour
Job Responsibilities
• Assist early childhood educators in different programs that promote physical, mental, cognitive, and social development of children.
• Attend to children’s physical needs for eating and sleeping, dressing, diapering, and toileting.
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts.
• Observe children’s behavior and assist early childhood educators in maintaining records.
• Organize space, equipment, and materials prior to lunch, rest periods and other activities.
• Assist in housekeeping and cooking duties as well as maintain daycare equipment as needed.
• Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
Qualifications Required
• Completion of secondary school.
• Minimum one year’s experience in childcare.
• Relevant childhood education or certificate in early childhood education assistant will be an asset.
