Job Description:

PAYROLL:

1. Review employment agreements
2. Input new hires and exits in Ceridian Dayforce HRIS System
3. Maintain payroll updates in Dayforce; salary & title changes, vacation
4. entitlements & balances, create ROE’s, RRSP deductions & remittances, sick days balances, etc.
5. Prepare monthly overtime report for end of month payment
6. Create entries, run, audit, and commit semi-monthly staff payroll
7. Assist the Chief Financial Officer and finance department as needed
8. Attend various meetings with payroll, HR, production, and other departments
9. Address employees’ payroll queries via email and/or meetings
10. Create tickets and attend meetings to resolve any issues with Ceridian Dayforce

TIME TRACKING:

1. Monitor, process & update all time off requests (sick, vacation, lieu & unpaid, etc.) via google forms, Ceridian Dayforce, and other internal reports
2. Respond to employee’s queries and follow-up with departments for Approvals
3. Conduct weekly vacation analysis and audits
4. Time and attendance tracking including those entries in Shotgun to ensure there are no time logging errors and if necessary, adjust time logs accordingly

REPORTS:

1. Daily/weekly time log reports: flag and/or investigate any discrepancies with individuals’ time logs
2. Generate overtime projections report on a weekly basis
3. Prepare weekly overtime report by comparing actual hours worked against overtime projections to ensure there are no discrepancies
4. Attain appropriate approvals on all overtime worked on a weekly basis
5. Maintain monthly overtime report and reconcile any discrepancies with department heads
6. Generate monthly Dayforce reports
7. Prepare monthly honour lieu report plus other reports as requested

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum of 3 years Business experience in a Payroll or HR Environment
2. Looking for an ambitious, meticulous, confident, passionate, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to augment our Payroll / Finance team
3. Must be able to work in a fast-paced creative environment
4. Must have Ceridian Dayforce and/or a similar system experience
