Although in recent years the batch processing had been implemented through Abinitio developing tool, the real-time processes were still implemented in C++ and had moved over to Oracle database server. Duties included, but were not limited to: the analysis and gathering of requirements; creating UML, documentation and graphical representations of proposed functionality; implementation of code and testing; Providing documentation to describe programming logic and coding methods used to explain difficult issues and identify solutions; Mentoring and providing technical guidance to peers and other project team members; Participating in work product reviews with other team members; Performing lead functions as part of a team; Interfacing with various cross-functional teams in support of company-wide initiatives; Working with end users to resolve production problems; Working on other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Provided critical production support over a four day and night period after a fail over between application machines cause duplicate data to be loaded into the database to ensure customers were invoiced accurately and timely.
• Helped implement a corporate wide initiative of creating single invoice for customers shipping express, ground and international thereby providing a sizeable cost saving to the company.
