OBJECTIVE
I am a dedicated and goal driven individual. I have various career aspirations including working in the field of forensic psychology as an investigator or intervention counselor for at risk youth and adult criminal offenders, or within a Government agency working for intelligence, analysis, or investigations. As a vocational trainer I was intensively trained on several types of behavioral and cognitive disabilities and how to effectively introduce clients who displayed these behaviors into work settings. I would work completely one on one with clients at their places of work to create inventive ways to teach them their desired job responsibilities and inputs, as well as help them to assimilate with the work staff and management. I was also responsible to communicating the clients daily progress to an assigned case worker and create observation logs and reports about the improvement of the client, or if the client needed to be relocated to a different, more beneficial area of work.

As a counselor for the Bendenwood day camp I would work with a group of fifteen adolescent males and females that were referred to the camp as at risk youth by the Redding area DARE police program and the local YMCA facility or they were afflicted with mental or behavioral disabilities. I would work with a group of adolescents for a period of three months on teamwork exercises; trust exercises, self-image strengthening techniques, as well as confidence building activities. I was able to introduce them to a more healthy and accepting environment and was able to break through to several of the adolescents and talk to them about traumas in their lives and help facilitate discussions on experiences.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE (Spring/Summer 2005)
While attending Michigan State University I worked as a research assistant on a dissertation project that was looking for the effects of perceived racial bias by African American students on the decision of whether that student decided to go further with their graduate training, or stop once they had obtained their Bachelors degree(s). In this study I helped to collect data through survey and interviews as well as compile data into the SPSS program and provide several transcriptions of interviews that were conducted for data compilation and review.

EXPERIENCE IN THERAPY
Therapy Internship at Indian Oaks Academy
I am currently participating in an internship experience to full fill requirements for my M.A. in Forensic Psychology at Indian Oaks Academy, IL. During this internship I am providing cognitive behavioral theoretical techniques to implement and serve as an adjunct therapist to maintain interventions for sexual juvenile offenders and juvenile delinquents. I currently hold a number of responsibilities such as managing a six client case load, extensive research, conducting group processes, research and documentation, and helping to create and implement a treatment and behavioral intervention after assessment of the clients.
Training and Leadership Skills Through my various work experiences, I have had the opportunity to attend several leadership training programs and have been able to utilize this training in several of my places of employment. I have also had the opportunity to conduct and attend several training sessions and classes on effective managing, creating an effective work environment, merchandising, loss prevention issues, perfecting verbal and written communication, observing trends, marketing plans, and providing customer service.
