Experience:
Executive Assistant Manager Walgreens in Jacksonville, Fl. (Present employment) I started as a cashier and got promoted to Senior Beauty Advisor in 6 months. I was in charge of maintaining the cosmetic department. In June 1996 I was promoted to Assistant Manager in Training and in June 1999 I was promoted to Executive Assistant Manager; which means that I'm second in command under the Store Manager.
My job responsibilities include the following:
Cash handling- maintaining the safe working fund, cash deposits, ordering change for the safe, handling brinks service and running the cash register.
Inventory management- Ensuring that there are accurate counts on all merchandise in store so that the computer can order merchandise from the warehouse.
Vendors- calling outside vendors to order merchandise for the store.
Receiving-scan in warehouse truck and vendors when the merchandise arrives at the store.
Merchandising- Stocking shelves and building enticing diplays; whether basic or seasonal. Do resets sent down from corporate. Set up new stores prior to grand opening of store.
Scheduling- write schedule for all departments in store and writing to budget hours.
Payroll- process payroll and transmit through computer system.
Hiring- go through online applicants and select applicants for interview. Schedule and interview applicants.
Disciplinary- use disciplinary process with written documentation and involve Loss Prevention when needed to access the severity of situation and terminate employee.
Bookkeeping- Ensure that all invoices are entered into computer for accurate records of receipt of merchandise. Balance cash report figures of previous days sales.
Shrink controls- involves inventory management, payroll controls and theft.
Customer service- assist customer in finding products, fill prescription's, develop customers fill, handling complaints, refunds and exchanges.
I have a Pharmacy Technician Certification #1601-0060-9321-921 expires March 31,2008. This was acquired through on the job training.
