Experience: International Specialty Tubes May 04 – Present Supervisor: As a supervisor at International Specialty Tubes, I am directly responsible for everything that goes on in the plant from operations, maintenance and personnel to safety and training. I directly supervise 15 union people. The most important thing I am responsible for is overall production in the plant. We run 2 tubing mills, a TIG Mill and a High Frequency Mill. In addition, we run 5 cutting machines. We have three Crosscut machines with built in end finishers, one with a built in washer, and 2 rip cutters. Each day my goal is to see 60+ thousand feet of stainless steel tube produced, and at least 25,000 cut pieces produced for our customers. In addition to supervising production, I am also responsible for the maintenance work-order program. This program, in conjunction with the new preventative maintenance program, is vital if we expect to reach our lofty but obtainable production goals every shift, every day!

Track parts usage for warranty redemption when applicable. Submit request for shippers and often arrange for expedited trucking to move the repairable equipment between the plant and the repair facility. I have weekly meetings with commodity personnel, plant management, and controllers. I created a relational database with MS ACCESS for in office use to help track current status of all parts that come through our office. It also generates reports reflecting trends of repaired part frequency by machine, department, and area of the plant. Additionally, I handle past due payments on repairs for 3 separate Ford locations.
