Additional Information: To Whom It May Concern, By way of introduction, as a Fortune 500 team member, I have been fortunate to enjoy a manufacturing and management career that has included key positions with American Standard (Trane). My experience encompasses growth through such positions as Hourly, Supervision and Manufacturing Manager. These experiences have given me abilities in creating vision, team atmosphere, and cost effectiveness. Entrepreneurial by nature, I have experience in startups and turnaround management. Over the past 20 years, I have utilized my talents and experience in a manufacturing environment in Assembly, Stamping, Fabrication, Welding, Brazing and Machining operations. I have experience with presses from 1 ton to 1200 tons (Krupp and Niagara) I have consistently increased productivity, reduced costs, and streamlined operations in a wide range of situations. My experience and knowledge of manufacturing philosophies (DFT, JIT, KanBan) and thorough understanding of budgets (last responsibility was in excess of 12mm dollars annually in wages alone) and planning, will allow an immediate contribution. While at the same time allow the use of these skills to mentor. My most recent assignment was for the direction of production supervisor, engineers and over 400 union hourly production workers. This is most significant, because I have developed management skills that have application beyond the specific industries in which I have worked. Concerning my education, I have an Associate in Management and need seven semester hours (a math and Science) to complete a Bachelor in Industrial Technology. A recent discussion with my academic advisor at UT Tyler of my probable relocation assured my graduation upon completion of these courses from another school. I assure you that will be done as soon as relocated. I would be an immediate contributor to the company, as I understand ownership and accountability. My achievements in those areas are briefly summarized in the attached resume for your review. Do let me hear from you soon and thank you for your time. Sincerely, Samuel Tompkins (903) 839-6839 / (903) 780-7040
