Process / Technology Manager Associated Hygienic Products in Marion, Oh October 2002 to May 2003 Accountable for managing the Maintenance and Process departments within the plant and coordinating technical support efforts throughout the corporation. The primary focus was to implement a detailed statistical process control system to set-up the equipment and ensure that defined procedures were followed from team to team. Plant Manager Associated Hygienic Products in Marion, Oh March 2001 to October 2002 Responsible for managing all facets of the plant including: Maintaining plant budgetary goals, direct department managers and develop short and long term goals, ensure that a minium case cost is maintained through a high focus on quality, improved efficiencies and low waste and drive continuous improvement throughout the plant. Accomplishments include: Designed and implemented a plant wide restructure that placed a stronger focus on team accountability. This ultimately resulted in a significant improvement in overall quality, a 20% increase in efficiencies and a 4% reduction in waste. Coordinated the relocation of 2 high-speed diaper lines from Georgia to Marion, which included machinery and personnel. Production Manager Drypers Corporation in Marion, Oh January 1996 to May 1998 Implemented several critical process control procedures and set-up a production line to take it from the poorest performing line to the best running line in the plant. Developed a plan and successfully transitioned the plant from a 5-day operation to a 7-day operation. Maintenance Manager Drypers Corporation in Marion, Oh July 1991 to January 1996 Designed and implemented a detailed Preventative Maintenance program and effectively reduced downtime. Developed a maintenance shop that was able to provide full-in house support and eliminated excessive outside contractor costs. This also drastically reduced downtime by having the capability to repair machinery on-site. International Representative Weyerhaeuser Corporation in Bowling Green, Ky September 1989 to July 1991 Managed a major 1.5-year project with American Israeli Paper Company involving the removal, shipment, installation and start-up of 2 high-speed diaper production lines. Accomplishments include: Designed layout of a new manufacturing module in Isreal. Managed new equipment designs and production rollout for a company in Japan. Traveled to all Weyerhaeuser plants in a support role to streamline operations and develop strategic planning for starting-up new operations. Process Engineering Manager Weyerhaeuser Corporation in Bowling Green, Ky January 1987 to September 1989 Supervised the Process Engineering Department that consisted of 4 Process Engineers. Accomplishments include: Liaison between the bowling Green plant in Kentucky and the plant in Japan in the evolution and rollout of new equipment. Involved in the research and development of a potential revolutionary composite material that could drastically improve product performance and ultimately reduce manufacturing costs.
