Objective: Well-rounded geriatric RN seeks opportunity to expand career in nursing. Raised in a small town with old-fashioned values and strong work ethic. Promoted to Director of Nursing Services. Assisted the facility in competing for and celebrating the Quality Award among nursing homes. Promoted involvement with the local fire and rescue service by attending classes for BTLS, PALS, and ACLS. Increased staffing levels by recruiting for and instructing CNA classes. Unit Charge Nurse Pinnacle Services in Winchester VA (Present employment) Hired as Assistant Director of Nursing and promoted to Director of Nursing. Increased amount of direct care staff per shift and lowered the resident to staff ratio. Brought the facility into compliance after state survey. Recently resigned from Director position to function as a prn employee and explore other avenues in nursing.
