Dear Hiring Executive:

Please find enclosed my resume, submitted in response to a recent advertisement detailing your company’s need for an accomplished manufacturing/operations/plant manager. My 15-year track record of success in industrial engineering includes 10 years in financial forecasting, 10 years in Lean manufacturing, 8 years overseeing personnel, and 5 years in proposal preparation. Moreover, I am adept in determining and supporting resource requirements to facilitate enhanced productivity and quality as well as drive profitability.

In my present position, I oversee all manufacturing engineering aspects for a company’s facilities in Connecticut and Florida, providing leadership to 25-40 personnel, maintaining accountability for 60,000 manufacturing plans, and administering a minimum of $15M in departmental budgets. My accomplishments have included achieving $3M-$5M in companywide savings by ensuring the feasibility of production on several major government contracts. Over the course of my career, I also secured multi-year, multimillion-dollar contracts and saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in production costs.

Given my expertise in facility management, strategic planning, and expense control, I could step into the position and make an immediate contribution. I encourage you to contact me as noted above to schedule a meeting in which we can discuss my qualifications for fulfilling your specific leadership needs. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your positive reply.
