Objective:
I am currently enrolled at Virginia Tech's animal science program and would like to see if I should refocus my energy towards reptiles specifically.


Experience:
I have always fancied myself as a "hobby herper", but am the first to admit my lack of knowledge. I have owned reptiles and amphibians in the past, and now 1 year into my large boa expierience.


Education:
I am a Junior at VT, majoring in animal science. I graduated from Culpeper County High School in the top 15% of my class.


Affiliations:
I am very active here on campus in Block and Bridle Club, in which I am Membership Cordinator, Alpha Gamma Rho, in which I am Alumni Relations, Collegiate Young Farmers and Collegiate 4-H. I also have a job at the Copenhaver Sheep Barn on campus.


Skills:
I have experience with a dozen different snake species, mostly local wildlife, lizards, amphibians, domestic livestock, larger warm-blooded wildlife, fowl both wild and domestic. and people. I am skilled at photography and computer rendering. I am comforatable outdoors in the field as well as in lab settings. I have 5 credit hours in labs and am a quick learner, especially when I am interested in the material.


Additional Information:
My interest in an internship in purely expierience aimed. I want to see if there is a place for me in a field I enjoy so much as a hobby. If pursuing a career in the field would require a change in major, I would like to do so now, while all my credits can still transfer.
