Objective: OBJECTIVE Obtain a full time position as a FOH Mixer or System Technician that will be challenging and rewarding while providing the best quality service in the industry. Servicing the client is my number one goal.
Experience: PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE FOH Mixer/A1/RF Engineer Independent Contractor 1993-present Live sound reinforcement technical support, for concert productions and large corporate multimedia shows, working for regional and national A/V staging production companies, and full service audio providers. · Do site survey, pre-rig all audio points, and attend all pre-production meetings. Supervision of audio load in, setup, and strike of shows. Delegation of audio crew tasks during show run. Set up stage with monitor engineer and back line crew. Selection and placement of microphones on band gear and instruments. Pin lavalier microphones on corporate presenters. Setup and tune all wireless microphones. Assign all inputs and outputs to FOH per stage plot and or input list rider. Confrere with producers, performers and presenters to determine and achieve the desired sound for that production. Mix live concert performances. Mix corporate show content, setting cues to ensure accuracy and timing of clients production though technical director. Record and playback audio and video feeds. Setup and troubleshoot all production intercoms. · Provide walk-in, background, and intermission music. Act as VOG and do voiceovers when needed. · Shop work, i.e. pull and pack the show, check show in and out of shop. Also positioning, wiring and rigging speaker boxes, assign and balance all speaker zones, align delay times, and tuning the entire sound system, using RTA, SIA instruments. Assign all inputs and outputs to mixing console, and related zones. Specializing in setup, tuning and mixing of multiple channel wireless microphone systems, lavalier and handheld. Mixed audio for video production in the studio and the field, creating content for radio and television broadcast. ENG/EFP using a Shure FP33 mixer linked to Betacam, DAT recorders, fishpole and pinned lavalier microphones. Able to setup and troubleshoot all production intercom system components, Clearcom, RTS, and Telex wired and wireless. Supervision of large crews union and non-union. Team player with other show related departments. Strong electronic and problem solving skills, trouble-shooting and repair to component level. Education in broadcast electronics, and computer repair. Able to tour and travel extensively. Willing to relocate.
