JOB DESCRIPTION -
Load and unloaded trucks. Moved material within the receiving department to other
departments. Was responsible for pulling orders, using FEDEX, UPS, DHL, AIRBORNE,
and independent freight companies.
Compared outgoing shipments to bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records to verify information. Inserted items into containers using packing materials Such as spacers, fillers and protective padding. Affixed shipping labels to packed cartons or used stencils to
identify the shipping information on the carton.
Examined outgoing shipments to ensure that shipments met specifications. Unpacked
and examined incoming shipments. Rejected damaged items, recorded shortages, and
corresponded with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
