Experience:
1989- 1992 Children’s Clinic LTD office nurse and secretarial work as a LPN. Assisted 6 Pediatric Physicians in various procedures; administered pediatric immunizations, antibiotics, hearing and vision screenings, as well as administrative tasks such as accurate charting, telephone advice, and maintaining schedules. Experienced with the accounting/bookkeeping procedures as well.
1992-1995 Full time student at Thomas Nelson furthering my personal self and my education in the Nursing Field.
1995- 2000 Surgical Nurse at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Job skills to include; circulation role in all specialties, IV conscious sedation, scrub experience in ENT, Plastics, Oral Maxillofacial, General/GYN, Orthopedics, Nero, Urology and Cardiovascular. Proficient in sterilization techniques, preoperative patient interview, case readiness, instrument needs. Vast knowledge of surgical equipment, procedure needs, anesthesiologist intubations, draping, documentation, patient safety, HIPAA laws, specimen handling, and handling of blood and specimens.
2000- 2001 Faststaff Travel Agency- Job Duties to include emergency travel to other states to fill in for Operating Room Physicians during nursing shortage.
2001- 2003 Riverside Regional Medical Center Specialty Surgical Nurse and Preceptor- Specialized in ENT surgery preparation and procedures. Completed performance evaluations of staff, preceptors of new staff members. Conducted trainings in ENT and Oral Maxillofacial division for surgical tech students, new staff members as well as nurses in the OR Internship. Individually responsible for purchasing and maintaining instruments for ENT field.
