Skills: Implemented creative staffing plans for four Payroll 1 offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver and Chicago -- covering 85 sales, operations and management positions. Managed the processes of recruiting, hiring, training, and re-training of current staff. These actions reduced staff turnover from 80% to less than 5% on an annual basis.
Solved many operational and sales training issues at these four Payroll 1 branches. The training was managed to the specifics of the plan through me and the onsite management team. This training achieved my goal of leading these four branches to become the top four in client and staff retention.
Implemented effective turnaround and profitability plans through my two bank positions and at Payroll 1 -- including creative marketing ideas to increase top line revenue while reducing expenses, client losses and staffing losses. These plans built profitability of $275k from losses of $200k at the Bank of Joliet; profits of $459k from losses of $333k at Heritage Community Bank; and to break even from $361k in losses at Payroll 1.
Dramatically improved the sales, customer service and management staffs at four Payroll 1 branches, through smart hiring and comprehensive training. These efforts have led to 95% retention of customer service, sales and management employees, while decreasing lost clients from 1152 to 462 over the four branches.
Developed strong local management teams to replace my remote management of three Payroll 1 branches. I fixed the branches’ problems and then hired and trained local management teams to maintain the progress. These teams have continued to grow the revenue and profits in Atlanta, Charlotte and Denver.
Doubled the assets of my Heritage Community Bank branch. Boosted sales by marketing deposits and loan products, and hired new commercial and residential lenders. Increased assets from $17 million to $34 million while increasing net income from a loss of $333,000 to a profit of $459,000.
Improved client retention and added new clients within Payroll 1. Managed the efforts of client retention through procedural changes and proper staffing levels, and grew our client base by building better sales teams. Accomplished the feat as the only branch to increase total client base by 33%, compared to an average 25% reduction in other branches during the period before my arrival.
Succeeded in reducing staff turnover in all of my career positions. Selected, recruited, trained, developed and evaluated staff members in a manner that supported the strategic plan and improved each individual’s ability to succeed and reach their potential.
Achieved major reductions in client losses and turnover. Established and maintained loyal and mutually respectful client relationships, while maintaining and realizing an appropriate pricing structure for products and services. I improved client retention to record levels in my bank groups and Payroll 1 -- reducing losses as much as 300% in a given year.
