Objective:
Electronics Technician Position in the Greater Portland Area


Experience:
Last Position held at ASTECH Engineered Products, Santa Ana, California from 6/1991-3/2006. Approximately 15 years experience in a broad array of job functions from Electronics Technician to Associate Engineer.
Duties:
- Troubleshoot, repair, update and program automated welding equipment, furnaces and lab equipment.
- Scheduled calibration of production and test equipment.
- Created and maintained quality records consisting of calibration and preventative maintenance logs.

Troubleshooting:
Analyze and Isolate the Extent and nature of failures in a wide verity of equipment through the use of oscilloscopes, volt meters, voltage testers, ect.

Repairing and Modifying:
Use hand/power tools in removing damaged/obsolete parts and to install new parts.

Calibrating:
Experianced in maintaining needed library of traceable calibration records.


Additional Information:
Replaced 4 position hydrolic actuator with multi-position electronic actuator reducing the adjustment time from 4 hours to 30 seconds.

Added PLC to Oven allowing automatic start up increasing opperating time by two hours a day.

Rebuilt panel welding machine restoring non functioning unit to full production. This increased the profuction capacity by 33%.
