Objective:
My career as a CT technologist began in 1982, as a student in the Radiologic Technology program at Jefferson Regional Medical Center I excelled an was offered a position in the CT Scan department six months before I graduated. After graduation I worked not only in CT scan but also in the Nuclear Medicine department where, as well as my job scanning patients in both departments, I was responsible for Quality Assurance and disposal of radioactive materials in Nuclear Medicine. For the last ten years I have devoted my time exclusively to CT scanning. I have been involved in all facets of CT work, including very extensive experience in interventional, as well as trauma studies. After 21 years as an employee at Jefferson Regional Medical Center as decided to go out on my own as a self employed locums tenens ct technologist, my ability to adapt to new machines, protocols and procedures in a short period of time has helped fuel my success in this area of endeavor.
As a prospective employee I offer, dedication, loyalty, and a willingness to get the job done, balancing the speed needed for effective patient throughput against the time needed to do the job correctly. The experience and skills that I have developed over the last twenty years insures that I know how to efficiently and safely balance these sometimes seemingly opposing objectives. My desire is to continue to devote myself exclusively to performing CT Scans. This will be a position that allows me to further develop my skills and provide me with new challenges and new opportunities to learn different methods of meeting my ultimate goal of providing superior, consistent patient care, as well as proving myself a worthwhile, responsible and loyal member of a care team that is dedicated to the patient and to restoring a patients health as well as providing emotional support and empathy to the patients and their family.
