Experience: September 2005 – Present, Nordstrom Inc, Overland Park, KS Assistant Manager Brass Plum Shoes Currently in charge of coaching ten department associates on the importance of excellent customer service, developing their own personal business, and setting/achieving sales goals. In charge of enhancing associates skills by giving them new information about new and improved product knowledge. I recently helped to improve department inventory control system by getting associates to take responsibility for their section of the stockroom. I act as a liaison between our customers and department buyers on merchandise that may be new and exciting or out dated.

I earned the responsibility of finding perfect product placement of new merchandise to maximize department sales. Floated throughout the store when management was short staffed for the optimal department store experience.
June 2003- August 2003, Dillard’s Inc, Manhattan, KS Summer Store Intern Was responsible for helping department managers schedule associates, screen and interview new hires, and reset merchandise displays. I was given the opportunity to audit departments, with corporate representatives, during the summer semi-annual inventory. Was taught the purpose of last year versus this years sales and how to manage and maintain those numbers. Organized, planned, and acted as hostess for the Annual Fall Bridal Fair.
