Secretary, L-3A/OSSS Help Desk Support Under general supervision of the technical support staff, with some latitude for independent action and decision-making; configure and troubleshoot 3270 gateways. Advise and assist over 1,400 Users with various mainframe applications such as Passport, Portal, Famis, Network Login and related issues. Directly responsible for system maintenance for more than 1,400 DOE computer users; install, test and troubleshoot Outlook E-mail. Assist Outlook E-mail Administrator with testing, researching and documenting complex user manuals as a training tool and support for DSF e-mail users ("Making E-mail Easy-Outlook 98" and other user manuals). Instructed, trained, and tutored numerous users on various computer software programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook E-mail, etc…Responsible for the distribution of cell phones and beepers, replacement and repair of all DOE communications users. Perform Help Desk Support, answer multi-line Mytel phone system, assign work orders, complete assigned work orders that are entered into DOE’s Intuit Track-It Database. Perform other related work, as directed. Created numerous documents and turned many of those documents into PDF files for online training and Intranet purposes. Assist users over the telephone with system maintenance, setting up, installing and troubleshooting Outlook email, logging into the network and gaining access to 3270 Gateways.
