Dear Selection Committee,
It is with a tradition of performance excellence in that I submit the attached résumé offering comprehensive achievements in public affairs, communications and community relations focused in a large- scale corporate venue.
My background is highlighted by 12 years with a large telecommunications company Prior to our recent merger I enjoyed four years of resounding success as Director of External Affairs. During these years my success in communications management were evident and rewarded as I planned and directed all external affairs activities as well as oversaw contact development and maintenance of key civic, community, and business leaders in 13 suburban communities.
My high-profile contributions as Director included rescuing a $2.1 million contract in jeopardy of being lost and an unprecedented negotiation with two local communities leading to the lucrative building of fiber optics. My track record is based on an array of seasoned skills. Public speaking and sales presentations, public relations and media relations and client/team relationship management are just a few examples.
Currently I serve as a leading Manager over its Network Dispatch Center and Customer Care Group. Consistently I have motivated and directed staff to produce noticeable cost savings. Such achievements as exceeding budget expectations, saving $175,000 and dramatically increasing dispatch center productivity are indicative of my ability to positively effect organizational improvement.
Aside from my professional experience I also offer proven leadership throughout 18 years of Ohio Army National Guard service. I served passionately in Operation Enduring Freedom and with the rank of Major, I currently run all Battalion Operations and all training for five separate engineer companies.
As my résumé is simply summarizes my career history and capabilities, there is considerably more to relate. I look forward to meeting you personally and anticipate a lucrative merger of my expertise with your communication agendas.
Sincerely,
