service. Initially hired as a Cashier before progressing into roles
including Scanning Coordinator, Assistant Manager, and Merchandising

Merchandising Manager (1998-Present):

* Selected as one of the first employees for this newly created
position responsible for implementing merchandising strategies for up
to 14 stores.

items for return, preparing compliance reports, and managing brokers
of five different companies.

* Personal success as a Reset Coordinator resulted in selection by
senior management to train six new Reset Coordinators and assist in
the start-up of the program in Alabama and Florida.

* Traveled throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and
Tennessee to assist in store merchandising or during total store
remodels for over 100 stores.

* Managed, scheduled, and planned the activities of up to nine
employees per team.

* Assisted in developing sections of the training manual that
outlined procedures for store merchandising.

* Won the "Shining Star Award" in 2005 for leadership efforts
during an aggressive three month conversion of 36 newly acquired
stores in Alabama to the Bi-Lo system.

* Nominated for two additional special recognition awards for

Assistant Manager (1994-1998):

* Rotated throughout six different stores in the Knoxville district
to assist in overseeing daily operations, including staff
training/supervision, scheduling, ordering, pricing, merchandising,
vendor relations, inventory control, P&L analysis, corporate
reporting, promotional event planning, and customer service.

* Managed store operations with up to 50 associates and weekly
sales of approximately $350,000.

* Selected as the District Trainer for customer service training of
all newly hired front-end associates.

* Selected as the District Trainer to train Customer Service
Managers and Assistant Managers in the Management Training Program
that covered store-wide operations.

* Earned recognition as a "troubleshooter" and was reassigned to
different locations on several occasions to resolve theft problems,
rebuild employee morale, improve customer service issues, and
strengthen team-building initiatives between managers and associates.
