Recognized as Rotarian of the Year and Volunteer of the Year with the YMCA.
1987 - 1996 Maintenance Manager Lead the maintenance of all buildings, grounds and equipment. Developed and implemented strategies and procedures for equipment and employee safety. Researched and determined facility upgrades, repairs and service requirements and evaluated with Facilities Engineering Manager whether completion to be in-house or contracted outside. • Lead correct methodology in safe working measures and practices. Directed a team of 23 employees in the mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic maintenance and care of forging related equipment, hazardous waste treatment and subsequent disposal. • Evaluated, purchased and implemented a Computerized Maintenance Management System for preventative and predictive maintenance of entire facility equipment base and buildings. • Negotiated correct critical path methodology for efficient management of internal repairs and improvements with the Facilities Engineering Manager. Evaluated timelines comparing costs savings possibilities versus time for completion in-house. • Ensured corrective actions of necessary repairs and tasks while not over-spending monthly departmental budgets unless dictated by emergencies or breakdowns.
