Objective:

Experience:
Process Engineering Manager, Collins & Aikman Corp. Farmville, NC November 2005-Current
• Instruct teams of associates (salaried & hourly) in the Kaizen process and lead them through the process to improve specific areas of opportunity (quality, efficiency, changeover time, etc.) within the company.
• Present Kaizen results to and assist in implementation with various levels of plant management.
• Developed a procedure for running, documenting, and evaluating plant trials.
• Implemented a weekly quality review process for the Process Engineering department to track key quality aspects on a per product basis.
• Responsible for the specialty fabric product line and was instrumental in reducing total off-quality from 13.6% to 8.5%. Daily responsibilities include monitoring product quality, yield, machinery, and cost improvement projects.
• Responsible for reviewing machinery standard operating procedures (SOP) and performing audits to SOP standards.
• Lead daily plant quality review meeting with plant management, quality, and engineering departments.
