My responsibilities and achievements included:
.Promotion of the Institute's reputation and business objectives - including the CEO and his staff.
.Participating in the development of byline articles for and with management - and achieving publication in domestic and international publications.
.Obtaining keynote speaking opportunities for the CEO & staff at key industry conferences; developing strong, productive relationships with key editors & media.
.Special efforts in publicizing a book authored by the CEO.
.Key role with the media in attendance and recognition of the Institute's internationally recognizwed founder, Dr. Joseph M. Juran, on his 100 birthday.
.Preparing all press releases and distribution to all media; preparing staff bios and editing a variety of documents as needed. Vice President-Marketing & IR Village Bank in Westchester County - New York April 1993 to September 1997 Responsible for developing marketing communications and media relations plans and implementing them by supporting all financial products and services with all area media and constituents. Coordinator and spokesman for investor relations of this multi-location bank (Village Financial Services)with assets close to one billion dollars until aquired by a much large financial institution. Director - Corporate Communications Armtek Corporation in N ew Haven, CT January 1988 to January 1992 Armtek Corporation consisted of four companies: Armstrong Rubber (tires), Blackstone (radiators for automobiles), Copolymer (plastics)and Dayco (auto components).
All four companies were involved domestically & internationally in research, development, manufacture, and the sale of tires, engineering plastics, and a wide range of automotive products.
My responsibilities were for business, corporate, marketing, press and investor communications for the holding corporation, Armtek - including coordination of speaking engagements & presentations by the CEO; difficult liaison with the press during labor union strikes for the tire company. Coordnated design and preparation of Armtek's first employee newspaper.
Served until a hostile takeover during which I provided communications assistance and support. Manager-Marketing Communications General Electric Company in Faierfield, CT September 1955 to October 1986 . Developed press materials on major issues that impacted GE businesses worldwide, i.e. energy, automation, aviation, aerospace, productivity, transportation, consumer products, & the value of research & development for use with major media.

. Established top executives of various technologies as spokespersons.
. Helped plan, implement and manage first on-site marketing communications support group in London, England to serve the UK and Scandinavia; and, later, another similar group in Washington, D.C. to serve GE businesses in Eastern U.S.
. Managed marketing communications support role in introducing & marketing the first computer time-sharing service business in Europe.
. Established & was Manager of GE's News Bureau offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City in that order.
