In 2001, Sweetface Fashion launched its first line of clothing bearing the JLO by Jennifer Lopez label. Initially, my responsibility was to get product from the country of export to the retail floor. As the organization grew, my position as Import Manager became increasingly responsible for ensuring that the import staff adhered to company policies, maintained strong relationships with vendors and brokers, and provided the highest level of customer service.
Implemented and customized software programs
Developed an air and ocean transportation network which resulted in a savings of air freight costs within 18 months
Established strong communication relationships with US Customs and Customs brokers to expedite clearances and pier pickups
Created and Maintained CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) acceptance documentation;trained staff compliance policies and procedures.
