Recombinant Plasminogen (02/06 – present) -Assist in the development of a scalable process for a recombinant of an existing plasma product. -Development work includes recombinant protein production in bacterial hosts (cell transformation & fermentation work) and downstream purification processing.
Thrombate III® (06/04 – 02/06) -Supported transfer & process improvement of Thrombate III® from Berkeley, CA to Clayton, NC. -Assisted in identification of appropriate equipment specifications for Anti-Thrombin III Columns and Ultrafilters. -Development work on the lab & macro bench scale for Column Chromatography, Ultrafiltration / Diafiltration and Nanofiltration. -Compiled and evaluated data to confirm appropriate limits for process optimization. -Wrote and reviewed required protocols and final reports.
