Manufacturing Operations and Production • Managed all manufacturing aspects within the company. Led the assembly, test, final assembly, and machine shop areas consisting of 60 direct reports. • Implemented JIT and Total Quality Management systems within the two (2) manufacturing facilities improving bottom line revenue, customer satisfaction and reducing product costs. • Eliminated work orders and went to a complete “Pull” system of products increasing throughput and quality, while and reducing inventory demands. • Production supervisor of 15 people building optical assemblies and Night Vision Devices for the military and commercial markets. • Implemented company wide MRB system that reduced product material costs and reduced supplier defects. • Created customer teams that worked with the “Top 10” customers monitoring products failures and reject rates. • Created company training program that brought production workers to view final products in area hospitals and talk to Doctors and technicians on product improvements. • Managed new product introduction, product support, JIT implementation, and quality improvements while supporting the manufacturing operation.
