Objective:
I am a customs professional having a broad range of experience with large importers as well as customhouse brokerage firms. I am interested in using my experience and talents to help form a compliant company or a colletion of companies to ensure they comply with U.S. Customs regulations.
Experience:
I have been involved in assisting in the start-up of a U.S. Customhouse brokerage firm in the port of Detroit. My individual customhouse brokerage license was used to open the company. I was responsible for ensuring compliance with all customs and other governmental agency requirements. I was also responsible for starting the customs compliance department for Kmart. I took the company from a low-rated status from a Customs perspective to becoming one of the countries first companies awarded low-risk status by U.S. Customs. I was also responsible for combining the customs compliance functions of Kmart Corp. and Kmart Fashions upon the merger of the 2 companies.
Education:
I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.
