I was responsible for development of training material. Wrote and issued Procedure Notices to advise IDX users of changes. Used PowerPoint to develop presentations for special training sessions.
United Healthcare Insurance Companies, Richmond, VA: 1987 – June, 2000
Began as part-time clerk in 1987. Hired full-time in September 1988, promoted to Claim Processor. In March 1989, began assisting with the Training Classes, and in May 1989 was promoted to Training Coordinator.
Duties as trainer included:
Ø Instructing new employees on the correct way to process HCFA 1500 Form Ø Evaluating new employees performance Ø Providing support and ongoing training to Medicare staff on changes to the Medicare program Ø Writing and editing the Desktop Procedural Manual for Claims Processing Ø Monitoring all training throughout the office Ø Maintaining a quarterly training log.
In addition, acted as the Functional Leader for Claim Processing for all United Healthcare Field Offices. This included, coordinating training efforts, answering questions, and providing training materials to four offices, with focus on compliance to the Medicare Program, and consistency in administering it.
