Online Season Ticketing: The project was part of the E-commerce initiative taken up by the Central Railways targeted at creating a comprehensive web site enabled with online purchasing of season tickets.
It was aimed at improved customer service along with cost effective solution for the railways.
It also served as a multilingual information portal and provided one-stop information regarding routes, maps, fare information and other rules and regulations.
It served as a design support system, which guided the passengers in choosing the optimum route given the origin and destination railway stations.
