Objective: Senior Level Information Technology position that is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, optimization, and protection (Disaster Recovery) of a company’s strategic Telecommunication, Computer facilities, and technical operations environment that supports and enhances the mission and goals of the organization.
Experience:
Snap-on Incorporated August 1995 – October 2005 Position: Director – Enterprise Architecture Position: Director – Telecommunications
-Established the Corporations first telecommunications department with global engineering, design, sourcing for all voice/data and Internet communications. -Participated in the global Deployment of the Company’s Distributed ERP System (BaaN) across multiple business entities and regions of the world. -Renegotiated Corporate Voice and Data Communications requirements resulting in annual savings in excess of $2.8M (year 1). Additional savings each year averaged $1.2M for each of the past 9 years. Total operational savings exceeded $12M. -Established and manage the company’s first Enterprise Architecture department. Responsible for base technology development, deployment, and strategic planning. -Directly managed Telecommunications, Help Desk Services, Desktop Support, File Server Support, and Procurement Department prior to hiring managers for these areas. Total number of direct reports exceeded thirty (30) individuals. -Manage an annual operational budget in excess of $20M. Indirect budget responsibility for an additional $100M for wholly owned subsidiaries. -Developed and deployed corporate technology standards for LAN/WAN Hardware, Files Servers, Desktop Computer hardware and software. -Managed the corporation’s development and deployment of the first corporate Internet/Intranet.
