Senior Manager & Operations Manager * Columbus, Ohio/Manhattan, New
York/Newark, New Jersey

Administered all facets of operations throughout entire sorting and
delivery facility with ultimate accountability for package allocation
consistent with customer chosen pickup/delivery times; responsible
for meeting fluctuating productivity goals PKGS per FTEs (Packages
per Full-Time Equivalent) involved with sort and delivery of 4,000-
12,000 packages during weekday and weekend day/evening shifts.
Throughout management tenure, positioned with Air Ground and
Transport division (August 1996 - September 2003) responsible for
client package delivery/pickup and Domestic Ground Operations (1983 -
1996).

Scope of roles included oversight of package sort/distribution and
driver deliveries throughout assigned routes, analysis of freight
arrivals and delivery progression/performance, office administration,
employee supervision and scheduling (up to 78 associates), facility
safety/security, troubleshooting and resolution; frequently
accompanied drivers on routes to maintain customer relationships,
address and resolve issues and identify opportunities for new
business.

* Vastly improved delivery logistics after analyzing routes and
adjusting operations to improve route productivity and reduce of
valuable time lost waiting on late freight from airport; down-time
caused drivers to dispatch with less delivery time until
modifications enabled some drivers to dispatch subsequent to primary
sort with other drivers held back to sort and deliver late freight.

* Reduced high trailer rental costs after enabling return of 6
rental trailers saving more than $150,000 annually ($3,000 weekly);
