New Media Developer Resume

Desired Industry: Entertainment SpiderID: 4718
Desired Job Location: Toronto, Ontario Date Posted: 1/12/2006
Type of Position: Part-Time Permanent Availability Date: immediately
Desired Wage: $50,000
U.S. Work Authorization: No
Job Level: Management (Manager, Director) Willing to Travel: Yes, 50-75%
Highest Degree Attained: Bachelors Willing to Relocate: Yes

Objective:
I am open to various arrangements; either
employee or freelance. I am a musician who has
developed considerable skill and talent in
Multimedia and Graphics and Web Design and have
a degree as a programmer CIS.

I am familiar with both Mac and PC environments
and have worked with Flash. Clearly Flash designers
need a grasp of navigation and interactivity. I have
spent more time using Flash to resemble a TV like
appearance and sound. I do have some examples
with navigation and even original applications
created with Flash. I have developed a technique to
provide pop ups that cannot be detected and know
how to work with Style Sheets and JavaScript to get
up to date graphics and interaction.

The website originally found at http://
www.artsnetwork.tv is temporarily down right now
but I have loaded it at my personal website
http://www.webcompose.ca/artsnetwork

The artsnetwork website was not intended to be a
public website. It is more of a repository to
demonstrate the TV like ads that can be created.

Webcompose is the freelance name for my low
turn-over business and serves lately more as a web
design example than an actual business.

In the two years developing the artsnetwork.tv site I
have become quite skilled with Photoshop and
Flash. There is also one example where I translated
a Director project to a Flash Project at
http://www.webcompose.ca/artsnetwork/

More recently I have been working with iMovie
editing digital video.

I am quite aware of the limitations of bandwidth
and know how to compress to effectively produce
usable animation and video clips.

to show syncing of sound and animation see

to see a flash navigation see my own homepage
http://www.webcompose.ca

to view examples of my music goto

also my music can be heard in several examples in
the artsnetwork site

Last but not least my age (young looking 50 year
old) and experience working both as an instructor
and web designer and knowing how to use the
numerous applications and tools out there also put
me in a position to handle or lead projects.

For fear of appearing overqualified let me ease your
mind by saying I'm flexible on salary and working
arrangements.

For discussion I have an ideal in mind of a four day
work week with occasional supplemental hours at
home with a salary around $25 to $30 an hour.
