Duties: Serves as the Operations/Plans Analyst for a deployable the Army’s Airborne Medical Command with 27 active, subordinate units and over 60 Wartrace units. Analyzes, assesses and executes current and proposed medical force concepts, tactics, techniques, and procedures to identify relevant factors and variables considered for war and contingency operations planning. Coordinates with XVIII Airborne Corps and Wartrace medical units to develop operational documents such as Operations Plans (OPLAN), Warning Orders and Operations Orders. Maintains current Time Phased Force Development Data (TPFDD) on Wartrace units. Assists in the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), and serves as the focal point for medical operations, taskings, exercises, deployments and plans issues for the medical command. Employee is authorized to commit the Medical Command on requirements within his scope of responsibility. Researches, analyzes, and develops various medical operations plans, exercises and directives for war and contingency operations. Provides medical support recommendations and guidance for the development of specific courses of action in the planning of combat health support during war and contingency operations. Assists in mobilization and integration of Army National Guard (ARNG) and US Army Reserve (USAR) units deploying as part of 44th MEDCOM Medical Task Forces. Duties: Mobilization Readiness Liaison, Performs logistics management operational duties that involves planning, coordinating and evaluating logistical actions in support of the Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) operations for mobilization, deployment, special threats, disasters, repatriation, and/or other emergency situations. Determines detailed logistics requirements in a variety of operations for mobilization, deployment, special threats, disasters, repatriation, or other emergency situations for coordination of non-recurring support to units training at the installation; and for special projects involving the organization. Serves as primary action officer in planned or unannounced exercises of operational plans and actual emergency operations. During such actions, serves as an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or Logistics Operations Center (LOC) shift leader. Reviews and analyzes tasking and logistics requirements. Identifies areas of functional responsibility and coordinates fulfillment of logistical requirements. Briefs the section leader, supervisor, the director, and command staff on the progress of the exercise or on problems that may have surfaced. 44th Medical Brigade US Army (03/01/1999 - 10/10/2001) - Operations SGM, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Duties: Performed the duties as the Operations Sergeant Major of the only Airborne Medical Brigade providing Corps Level medical support to the XVIII Airborne Corps. The unit was comprised of 3,800 soldiers located at seven different installations. Supervised 25 personnel who managed the areas of Current Operations, Taskings, Airborne/Aviation Operations, EOC Operations and Medical Plans. The principal advisor to the Brigade ACofS G3.
