Participate in developing service plans, strength assessments and needs assessments, and home and community observations. Responsible for case management and treatment planning. Child Therapist/Case Manager Bethlehem Children’s Treatment Center November 2000-June 2002 Duties include: Working with behaviorally and emotionally disturbed children in a residential treatment setting. Responsible for case management, individual, group and family therapy.
Case management responsibilities include: Developing treatment plans, writing intake reports and quarterly reports. School liaison between special education department, school personnel, and the facility. Coordination of services with the Office of Community Services.
Clinical responsibilities include: Implementing play therapy, cognitive therapy, behavior management, life skills training, social skills training, anger management, conflict resolution, self-esteem work and grief and trauma work. Participate in weekly medication management with consulting psychiatrist and administration of psychometric tests. Responsible for clinical training of direct care staff, foster parents and peers.
